Abu-Muhammad Muslih al-Din bin Abdallah Shirazi also knows as Saadi of Shiraz born in (Iran, 1210). He was a major Persian Poet. His father died when he was a child. Sheikh Saadi also wrote four books of love poems and the number of longer mono-rhyme poems (qasidas) in both Persian and Arabic.
He is known for the quality of his writings and the depth of his social and moral thoughts. Sa’di’s best-known works are Bustan and Gulistan completed in 1218. Saadi is known for his aphorisms, the most famous of which, Bani Adam, is part of the Gulistan.
